Bling It On, Baby!

This week Quick Quotes and Want2Scrap are partnering up to bring you some fun inspiration!  I am so excited to be sharing a sweet baby album of my grandson, Seth, with you for the "Bling It On!" event.   My album is chock-full of papers, sentiments, and chipboard from Quick Quotes Dusty Road Collection. 

This chipboard baby album is just one of the great shaped albums from Want2Scrap.

To cut the paper for each shaped page of the album, I carefully cut using a hobby knife and cutting mat.
Once the Dusty Road papers were adhered to my album, I added a bit of Coconut White Chalking Ink to the edges of each page.  It is so easy to get into those small spaces with the Chalking Inks!

Lots of Want2Scrap bling and pearls adorn my pages. I carefully snipped the Silver Rhinestone Swirls so I could add a bit of swirl with each of my flowers.

On a few of the pictures, I stamped using the Purple Passion Chalking Ink.  Love how bold this looks on the sepia pictures!

The banners were handcut out of the pretty plaid Dusty Road 400 and Lavendar Pearls from Want2Scrap were added as a finishing touch.  The sweet sentiments are from the Dusty Road Chipboard Die Cuts.  The were just perfect compliment to the photo of my daughter and her two sweet boys.

September Scrappy Chics Reveal

Happy September!

This month I got to play with Scrappy Chics' Add-On Kit.

I found inspiration in all the great quotes & sayings on many 

of the Simple Stories papers you will find in this kit.  

We had a big 1st birthday party for Chase the weekend before the big day.
On his official 1st birthday we had a quiet family dinner and cupcakes.
Boy did he enjoy that cupcake!

This mini-album is actually a card for a co-worker who was leaving.
She is a pretty special lady who deserved a pretty special card.
I was totally inspired by the "journey" theme of many of the quotes
from this month's Scrappy Chics Add-On Kit.

I used some corragated cardboard to give the papers some more stiffness.
Behind the Simple Stories transparency overlays my co-workers wrote their
notes of encouragement and support.

I have really been into altering mini-composition books lately.
This one whipped up in no time flat with the kit.
Now what to use it for?  

Stylin' with Susan K Weckesser!

I knew it wouldn't be long before I created another 

mini canvas on sticky back canvas!

My inspiration was the fantastic "Poised & Pretty"stamp 

by Susan K Weckesser @ Unity Stamp Company. 

I used Susan's "Poised & Pretty" stamp for my stylish lady and her pretty dress.

I stamped the images on Susan's whimsical papers, Live Love Create &

Live In Color.  The background of my canvas uses these same papers.

Susan's "In Circle Me" background stamp is used for both the yellow gesso

 background and around the edges of my canvas in black ink.  

I adhered the papers and stamped images with Helmar Decoupage & Craft Paste.

Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste is also what I used to seal my canvas

once all the paint and ink dried.  This is my favorite product to seal my

canvases and notebooks!  It dries clear and my projects are protected!

Using the same Live In Color paper and "In Circle Me" stamp I created

this card for my nephew's birthday.  I love how grungy & edgey this 

stamp looks with a different application!
