Pattern Perfect Assignment Book

It is almost that time of year again in some places!  I am almost afraid to say it out loud....school time.  We are in no hurry to rush back to school here in Maine, but I do like to be prepared, so today I am sharing an altered school assignment book made using the fantastic new Quick Quotes Pattern Perfect Back 2 School Papers. 

In today's video,  I share with you how I whipped up the cover of this cute assignment book.  It is so super easy, you will be making them on your own in no time! Be sure to watch the video because I show you the altered inside of this assignment book as well as the back.  

I even spruced up the pen for the assignment book using a scrap piece of the Pattern Perfect paper.

Note This!

For years I have been tucking away clips of crafty inspiration

into notebooks.  I find inspiration in all sorts of magazines.

I clip out layout and card ideas, quotes, color combinations, 

household design ideas.  The list goes on!

When one notebook is filled, I just start a new one.

Right now I have 3 inspiration notebooks that are filled to the brim!

Last night I taught my "Note This!" Helmar Live Ustream Class

in which I decorated my newest inspiration notebook.

I used multi-media elements along with Helmar Decoupage & Craft Paste

and Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to decorate a plain $1.50 Composition Book.

I kept my project simple.

A little notebook is perfect for keeping track of assignments.

I altered a mini-composition book with school themed papers and washi tape.

Scrap Happy with Scrappy Chics

I had a field day with this month's add-on kit from Scrappy Chics!

It is filled with Teresa Collin's Spring Fling line.  

Here are my Design Team projects using this kit...

A layout filled with wallet sized photos of the girls

being silly at Lily's 13th birthday party.

Everything is a little crooked, on purpose.  

I wanted the focus of "You Are My Sunshine" to be on the pretty picture of Lily

so I kept the design simple.  A little Tattered Angels Champagne Glam was 

added to the flowers and butterflies to make them shimmer.  

You can see the motion in the photos in "Happiness Is This."
Syd (and her brother) had a lot of fun playing on this seat at
the playground.

This little notebook is from The Kraft Outlet.
I just added a little paper and die cut embellishment to
make it pretty.  Now it is perfect for my purse!

I used scraps from my other projects to whip up this card.

I love the quote, which comes from Alice In Wonderland.
