Bright & Feminine Birthday Card

Happy Wednesday!  Today I am sharing brand new birthday card and tutorial I made for my Guest Designer post on the Crop Stop Blog.  I used Couture Creations 3 in 1 Butterfly Notes Collection again this week.  If you go through all my Guest Designer posts for Crop Stop this month (every Wednesday in January) you will see easy it is to create a diversified collection of cards with this one collection. 

The focal point for this bright, feminine birthday card is the embellished tag.  To create this embellished tag, I started with two Core'dinations Core Tags with the metal grommets punched out. 

Step 1: Emboss colored tag with Couture Creations Plush Embossing Folder. 

I used my Big Shot to emboss and die cut. 

Step 2: Die cut Spellbinders Label 4 in empty space around the embossed image.  

Step 3: Sand the embossed image and edges where the tag was die cut with Core'dinations Sand It Gadget.

Step 4: Place Couture Creations Double-Sided Tape on the back of the embossed tag.  Make sure you are generous with the tape!  I trimmed my tape to fit all the small nooks on the tag. 

Step 5: Peel back tape and adhere the embossed tag to the plain white tag. 

Step 6:  Making the butterflies!  Start by covering a piece of white Core'dinations Cardstock with Couture Creations Double-Sided Tape.  My piece was 3"x 4", just big enough to die cut several of the butterflies. 

Step 7: Using the smaller of the butterfly dies from Couture Creations Butterfly Notes, die cut several butterflies out of the taped cardstock from Step 6. 

Step 8:  Peel back the tape on the die cut butterflies and generously apply Distress Glitter.  

Step 9: Add Couture Creations Gemstones to the glittered butterflies.  

Step 10: Stamp your sentiment where the white background tag shows. 

Step 11:  Shape your decorated butterflies and adorn your tag with them.  

Step 12:  Add embellished tag to card base using plenty of Couture Creations Double Sided Tape.

Step 13: Give finished birthday card to the birthday girl and watch her smile!
