Hexagons are everywhere! I have to say that I love them
as much as the next paper crafter. Lately they have taken
the place of circles and hearts in my layouts and cards.
This week's challenge at CropStop Challenge Blog is to
create a project using hexagons. I got a little out of control with the hexagons so
I have two cards to share with you today for the CropStop challenge
To give the hexagons a bit more texture in this hexagon birthday card
I embossed the orange hexagons.
CropStop Supplies:
My second card uses hexagon patterned paper.
I love the effect of dry embossing on patterned paper. It is a simple way
to add design and texture. To make my embossed image stand out
on this card I inked the world map image with Distress Stain & Distress Ink.
CropStop Supplies:
Upload your hexagon card to CropStop Challenge Blog to be eligible
to win this week's $15 Gift Certificate to CropStop.

Katie, I love this card! I really, really would like to find your world map. I looked under all of your supplies and I even did a search at Crop Stop for world map and came up empty! Can you tell me where you got it?
Thanks mucho!

The colors on your hexagon card totally rock! Love what you did.
The use of the embossing and the hexagon stamping in your How Wonderful card is very unique. Nice technique!
love the hexagons but that world map embossing folder really caught my eye - I couldn't find it either at Crop Stop . . . do you know if it is still available?
great cards....
Both cards are great for different reasons. The colors in the first card are sublime; they pop against the blue background. The texture in the second card brings the card and sentiment to life. The hexagon paper adds some subtle interest.
Hey Katie! Thanks for linking this up to the Hooked on Hexagons Challenge in the Moxie Fab World! I'm so glad you joined in on all the fun! :)
