This week's Mojo Monday is to document your favorite vacation.
I chose my fave place from my adulthood
(my childhood one will have to be a different layout).
I found this great Cape Cod paper which was perfect for this challenge!
I am so sad that my 2nd term is coming to an end at Creative Soup.
This has been one of my favorite DT experiences.

Who We Are: Creative Soup (www.thecreativesoup.com) is a scrapbook challenge forum inspiring scrappers through challenges, chats, and friends. We have several challenges and events to help people get their mojo going!
Here is what we offer:
- Mojo Mondays: Weekly challenges that rotate between four different kinds of challenges (AAM, Sketch, Inspiration, etc). You can learn more about these challenges here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=455
- Quarterly Classes: We offer a free quarterly class with detailed format instructions where scrapbookers can follow along online at their own pace.
- Fun inspirational threads that post each week including: Text Tuesday (font and text tips), Web Wednesday (cool sites to check out), Thought Thursday (journaling prompt), and more
- Online Crops: We also host online crops, which bring our community together with fun challenges, games, and prizes.
- The Forum: unlike most challenge site, this site offers a community where people can chat, ask questions, and share their creations in our gallery.
Why You Should Apply!
Creative Soup is a free forum so we are unable to compensate monetarily or with any product. This site is meant to be a fun, friendly place where everyone encourages each other to craft and create! With that being said, there are several great reasons to join the team!
- The Experience – if you have always wanted to be on a design team this is a great way to get experience to your scrappy resume! We are always happy to recommend people who have been on our teams.
- The Challenge – nothing helps keep you motivated as much as a being on a team with a commitment! Our challenges are creative and fun and will be sure to help push your creativity.
- The Community – we are lucky enough to have a great group of people who are active and supportive of each other. It truly is a fun and welcoming site! We promise a drama-free zone where you can just enjoy yourself!
The Creative Team Requirements:
- Create 2 layouts/projects per month for our challenges. Each team member will be assigned 1 challenge in advance that they must complete. If something comes up and you cannot do the challenge on time we ask that you find someone to swap challenges with or someone to cover for you. You are encouraged to do at least one additional challenge of your choice.
- Participate on the forum. We as that you check in a few times a week and post ideas, layouts, and responses to members’ questions or threads. You are not required to be on the forum every day… but we do hope to see a regular presence on the board.
- Participate in our online crops (1-2 per term). Each team member will be asked to come up with one challenge for the crop, as well as a layout/project to go along with your challenge. We also ask that you create a layout/project for another team members else’s challenge so we can provide our members with as much inspiration as possible.
- Upload your layouts to our gallery. All projects that you create for Creative Soup must be uploaded to the Creative Soup gallery, and we also ask that you upload any other projects you are able to. Our members love to see all the great work that our Creative Team comes up with.
- Positively represent the board by sharing links to the site where you can (including blogs and forums) and by conducting yourself on the forum in a friendly manner.
Creative Team term is 3 months (July-September 2011), with an option to extend to 6 months if both sides choose. Members can serve no more than six consecutive months on the Creative Team as we like to keep the Creative Team fresh!
How to Apply
Please email creativesoupforum@gmail.com by June 15th with the following information.
1. Three (3) of your favorite projects. These projects must be your original work. At least two should be layouts, but we would love to see something non-layout like a mini or a card, but a third layout is fine if you prefer to do layouts. You may send more than one photo per layout if you like. *These can be existing projects in your gallery. No need to create new projects for the call*
2. Link to your blog if you have one.
3. Link to any online galleries you maintain
4. List of other design team obligations, if any.
5. Links to forums you are active on
6. Tell us why you want to join Creative Soup
7. Tell us about your scrappy style. What you like to create: layouts, size preference, mini’s, cards, etc. Please include if you like to do sketch challenges or not. It’s okay if you don’t.
**No previous design team experience needed! **
