A Birthday Toast

I found a new (to me) card sketch site yesterday.  Freshly Made Sketches shares fresh, clean sketches every Wednesday.  Great sketches & great examples from their very talented Design Team!

My card inspired by this week's Freshly Made Sketch:

I just love the new Retro Circles embossing folder by Cart-Us that I received from Crop Stop.  It is so fun!    The embossing really pops on the bold yellow Core'dinations Cardstock.

Do you ever make big ol' mistakes while creating?  I am forever doing things like spilling paint on a layout or getting glue where it doesn't belong.  While making this card I  wanted to iron the white puckered ribbon.  Do you see where this is going?  Thoughtlessly, I ironed away. Part of my pretty white ribbon shriveled up.  Yep, the setting was too high.  Today I leave you with a reminder to check the setting on your iron before you embark on ironing any crafty item (well, anything really).

Have a good day!

You may have accidentally discovered a new crafting fad: the shriveled up, wrinkly, crafting ribbon. I think I may need some of that! I love the vintage image on your card. And those shimmery circles (brads, buttons, styromfoam, or whatever they are) are a fantastic addition!! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
