Lily came home from school with this assignment book:
It was ugly and too big she said. She wanted a new one.
I didn't want to spend the money.
So I took it apart, cut it down and then put it back together.
Gone is the 8.5" x 11" inch ugly assignment book!
Now it is a cute, sassy little book fit for Lily!
All the papers were from my scrap pile.
I dragged out the sewing machine.
She loves it &
her teacher gave it an "A+."
The teacher deserves an apple for that grade. :)

I love it Katie. Smart teacher for passing out that "A". I have to agree with his/her assessment. I used to make assignment books for both the girls all the way up to college. This year though they become too big for mom's homemade books and graduated to a more "adult" planner. I'm certain that in time they will learn that only mom's books have everything they need in the format they like.
