Sweet Sunday Creations

I have had the luxury of having the house to myself
for most of the day today. What did I do?
I did some challenge layouts! I am loving that
I have time to participate more in my favorite online
scrappy places.

"Smiles & Laughter"
These are some more of my favorite pics from Kass' Prom.
She was being silly and had everyone laughing at how
her dress looked like a mushroom when she she sat down.

Treasured Scrapbooking is having a Splash Into Summer crop.
One of the challenges was to use mists in an original way.
I sprayed the naked chipboard mist with Glimmer Mist
and then ran it through my Big Shot to add texture. When it dried
I sanded down the chipboard so the embossing stood out & then
I sprayed it with more pearl Glimmer mist so it would sparkle.

"We Love Auntie Dawn"

The girls miss Auntie Dawn (she lives in FL now)
so much so I was happy to find these pictures hidden
away today.

For this layout I used Creative Scrapper's Sketch 108.
I also made the teal flowers (instructions below) to fit
another challenge at Treasured Scrapbooking which was to get
your paper wet and malliable to create something new.
This layout also fits Kim's challenge for ScrapFreak's
Luau going on this week...the challenge was to make
a banner or create one on a project.

How I made my flowers:
I wet circles of my Bazzill paper,
scrunched them up,
layered two of them,
wrapped them around the tip of a pencil,
tied some thread around the paper on the pencil tip,
pulled the paper off the thread,
tied the thread tightly,
shaped them,
sprayed them with some Glimmer Mist,
and let them dry.

Thanks for visiting!
