Motivational Piece

So....my motivational piece is this lovely new-to-me card catalog unit that I found on Sunday. I have been looking for a unit like this for years and just happened upon it in the bargain annex of an antique store. After hemming and hawing (because I really thought Scott would take issue with the fact that it is old), I decided that it was for my space & I HAD to have it.  It is really what has motivated me to reorganize my supplies and purge. Furniture CAN motivate! Now if I can only find what will motivate me to eat right these day....

P.S.The pretty lamp on the table was another find from that jaunt.

Strawberry Sunday & Craft Room Finds

The girls & I met Kelly to go strawberry picking today in spite of the rain.  It was the first time the girls wanted to come with me on our self-pronounced Annual Strawberry Sunday.  I love how Lily had to look each strawberry over before it was put into her little bucket.  It was nice to see Kass showing Lil where the "best" ones were.  I am secretly hoping that they will want to join us again next year.

After strawberries and brunch, Kel & I stole off to some antique shops.  I am always good for looking (sometimes a little drooling) but never really buying when we go antiquing.  I have been putting together a mental list of things I want for my new craft room when the day care closes in August & amazingly enough I found some perfect pieces today....a wing back chair with a cool print, an old library card catalog, and huge etched glass table lamp.   Once I clean them up, I'll have to share my finds.

It has been a perfect rainy day!

Instead of building an ark to deal with my frustration with all this rain, rain,
rain(did I mention rain?), I decided to create a blog. Hoping to share some of my creations and musings about things that I love.  While I can't promise to be always on top of all that is interesting in my life (because it means I might have to slow down), I can at least try. I'd like to thank Cherie for amusing me (and probably herself) with letting me inundate her with all my off the wall ideas for a blog name.

Please feel free to leave me love at any time.  Enjoy!
