Currently: Week One

Just last month, when I didn't have the umph to finish my December Daily project after eight short days, I came to terms with the fact that I am absolutely terrible at keeping up with the trendy scrapbook projects that are all over the interent.  Project Life and December Daily and Photo A Day all leave me feeling unaccomplished, but I still want to document my life on a regular basis.

Kristin, of rukristin, shared a new project of her's called
Currently: Telling Your Story One Week At A Time.
This challenge only takes one minute a week!  I can do this!
Sundays will be my day to document my story.
Here is my week one "Currently" list:

I have shared this list on Instagram and Twitter using the #currentlylist hashtag.

Restricted!

I have made a goal to create more pages that are about me. My thoughts, my happenings, my vices, my likes, my successes and my failures.  This goes along with the idea of "embrace the face" that I posted a few weeks ago. I have hidden behind my camera for so long and I have recently decided there is really no reason to hide.  I like me, I like my life!

This layout is all about how I need to wear glasses to drive all the time now.  Not because I can't see, but because the State of Maine says so.  Am I happy about this?  Absolutely not!

As I put my finishing touches on this simply layered AAM layout, I realize two things about my scrapping. One of the things you might already know. That is, I tend to be a bit crooked.  I can hang a picture on a wall dead center with no measuring, but get a title on a layout straight?  Never!  The second thing I noticed, is I mess up my handwritten journaling almost every time.  It doesn't matter if I practice write it beforehand, something always goes awry. I guess being crooked and messed up is part of my charm. :)
