Inspired by Ballards

This week's Mojo Monday at Creative Soup is to find inspiration in a catalog spread.  K has shared some great ways to find inspiration within a catalog in her post.

The background titlework of "She Is a QT Pie" was inspired by this Ballard's online catalog page

I just love the alphabet canvases on the catalog page! 

So I created my own alphabet canvases for the title work.

I cut equal rectangles out of some grungeboard

 then painted those pieces with some white craft paint. 

I mixed some Gesso with blue craft paint & smeared it on the painted grungeboard.  The chipboard alphas are placed on smeared Gesso mixture.
